Cat Fight: OHS battles Mehlville in annual game

Takin’ It To The House: Anthony Herrera (11) returns a punt for a 75-yard touchdown run against Mehlville last season. OHS lost the game 25-7.

Varsity football will host rival Mehlville in one of the most anticipated games of the year on Sept. 16 at 7 pm.

After losing last week to Parkway South,12-6, the Tigers hope to get a win.  This is also the night that the two schools compete to declare the winner of Underwear Wars.  As of Sept. 9, the Tigers are 1-2 and Mehlville is 2-1.

“We understand that it is about what we are doing on that field,” head coach Arlee Conners said.  “Not what the other team is doing.”

Last year, Mehlville took the win of both the football game and Underwear Wars. Losing 25-7 last year,OHS hopes to make a comeback and win in “Our House.”

Come out and support the two team in this year’s “Cat Fight” this Friday at 7 pm at OHS.
