At the district wrestling meet at Lindbergh High School on Feb. 10-11, three OHS wrestlers qualified for state, including heavyweight Jimmy Broderick (11).
Entering districts, Broderick was 40-3 and ranked fifth in the state among heavyweights.
At districts, Broderick finished 3-1, placing second in his weight class. This was a big improvement from being eliminated early in districts last season.
“This is awesome considering it’s coach Wymore’s last year coaching for us,” Broderick said. “I’m glad I could go out and make him proud for his last year.”
The state wrestling tournament will be held at Mizzou in Columbia, MO on Feb. 16-18.
