The OHS ice hockey team is off to a great start in the Challenge Cup playoffs. They have won the past two games with wins against Lafayette 5-2, and Seckman 6-1. A large part of their success has come from Brendan Nichting (12). He has 12 goals and 11 assists for the season. He is also fourth in the team in points with 23.“My line has been doing well,” Nichting said. “We have been putting pucks in the back of the net.”
According to Nichting, team chemistry will help the Tigers carry the momentum throughout the playoffs.
“He always plays at 110 percent,” teammate Cameron Dulle (11) said.
The Tigers will play Chaminade on Feb. 4 at 6:30 pm at Queeny Rec. Complex.
“It’s a big game and we need to win this one,” Nichting said.
