The OHS wrestling team had the district tournament this past weekend at Christian Brothers College. The team performed fairly well qualifying three wrestlers to state and had three guys missed state by one match.
Dominic O’Neil (11) at 126, Dan Zehnle (12) 152, and Tyrone Willis (12) at 220 all qualified for the state tournament. Tommy Suda (10), Adam Roland (12), and Austin Neal (9) were all one match away from qualifying.
“I feel that we can get a few medals if we push ourselves,” O’Neil said.
The state tournament takes place this upcoming weekend Feb. 14-16 at the Mizzou arena.
