Water polo optimistic despite record

The OHS water polo team is 6-7 with recent wins over Cleveland, Tenn. and De La Salle. Despite the losing record, they have high hopes for the postseason.

“We expect to make it to the final four,” Dillon Werner (12) said.

According to Werner, in order to get to the final four the Tigers have to beat some really good teams.

“We to put in some hard work to beat those good teams,” Werner said.

Denis Galic (12) is second on the team in assists with eight. He also believes that the team must improve before the postseason starts.

“Endurance is an issue with us because we have a small team,” Galic said. “We have to play four quarters instead of three.”

The Tigers next game is on April 16 against John Burroughs at 5:30 pm at John Burroughs.
