The freshman girls basketball team share a bond on and off the court. Their next home game is Friday, Feb. 13 against Northwest.

The freshmen girls basketball team has started off their season strong and continued it that way. The girls have played 16 games so far and still remain undefeated.

The girls work well together and can move the ball down the court quickly. Kayla Klipsch (9) is a starter for the team and believes that the girls play well together because they have played with each other on prior teams before OHS. They have a special bond and know each others strengths and weaknesses.

“A lot of the girls have been together since we were little, so we have a good bond,” Klipsch says.

Coach Maggie Zehner is proud to coach these girls and has had a lot of fun doing it.

“I feel fortunate to be able to coach this group. They are one of a kind,” said Zehner.

The girls play Feb. 6 at Seckman. They finish with home games is Friday, Feb. 13 against Northwest and Tuesday, Feb. 17 against Webster.
