Pybas takes the fifth at conference

John Pybas (12) is the Tigers’ top varsity golfer this season. He was also the Tigers’ top golfer at the conference tournament.
Pybas placed fifth at conference on April 30. Pybas shot a 77 at the Aberdeen course, which was five over par.
“We are very happy and proud of John,” varsity golf coach Cindy Maulin said. “He really had a banner day.”
The team is 5-3 this season for 9-hole matches. Maulin said that every player has improved over the season and called Pybas’s results at the conference meet “a great accomplishment for a very hardworking, worthy young man.”
The team played in districts on Tuesday, May 5 at Crescent Farms golf course at 8 a.m.
