If you took a language for four years, would you be able to pick your favorite word?

Spanish IV students had the opportunity to share their favorite Spanish word in their “Mi palabra favorita” project that was due this week (April 17-18).

“My favorite word is belleza, which means beauty,” Hannah Baker (12) said. “It’s fun to say and there’s beauty everywhere and in everything.”

Students had to create a video where they speak a paragraph about their favorite word and why they study Spanish. It had to be a well edited video with music. Spanish IV teacher Señora Meghan King also requested that students show lots of energy and record in an environment that relates to their word.

“I found the possibilities almost endless,” Nathan Long (11), whose favorite word meant meatballs, said. “She (Señora King) gave us an assignment with vague guidelines and allowed us to do essentially whatever we wanted to do with it.”
