Samed Ganibegovic (12) runs with the ball against Seckman on Sept. 6.

The OHS soccer team is enjoying one of its best seasons in recent history.

The team just finished a game against CBC last night, Oct. 3. They went into the game with a 11-5-1 record and lost 2-1.

“We did well; we were just unlucky scoring,” forward Aldin Topcagic (11) said.

Topcagic believes the team’s success can be credited to their team chemistry. “We have been working well together,” he said.

His teammate Colin Neff, center midfielder, also says that the team’s greatest attribute is coming together.
Although the team kicked off the season on the right foot, there are still some improvements that can be made according to Topcagic.

“We could improve on finishing our chances,” Topcagic said.

Topcagic thinks that in order to make the corrections they need some more practice and he is hopeful the team could have a shot at winning the state title.

“The strongest influence is just looking ahead to districts and beyond,” Neff said.

The tigers were ranked 10 last week in the St. Louis Post Dispatch fourth poll of the season.
