Twenty three OHS music students were inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society on Nov. 21.
The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) for middle and high school students. It recognizes students for their academic and musical achievments and rewards them for their accomplishments and service activities. According to Mrs. Erin Falloon, the OHS Assistant Choir Director, these new students worked hard to be inducted into the society.
“They have met stringement requirements in the areas of scholarship, music performance, leadership and service,” said Falloon.
The 23 new inductees include the seniors: Rachel Chopin, Kelsey Woodcock, Heidi Greenlee, Christina Woods, Brian Throm, Bryce Benjamin, Scott Lewis, Brad Morlock, Emily Jundt, Danielle Defrancesco, Elisabeth Keller, Carly Ecker, Michael Meier, Alex Mathews, Andrew Hinderliter, the juniors: Megan Dillow, Alyssa Inman, Mallory Chapman, Samantha Ziegelmeier, Mindy Schanzle, Taylor Conran, Ashley Kluge, Courtney Griggs, Brian Woods, Nicole Bunse, and the sophomores: Hannah Martin, Caroline Williams, Sara Rabbermann, Olivia Vaughn, and Paul Pisciotta, joined 10 returning members from 2010-2011.
