And Toby the tiger is…

And Toby the tiger is...

Last week, OHS held mascot tryouts for Toby the Tiger for the first time.

In the past, OHS did not hold tryouts for the mascot. Typically, a few different people would request to be the mascot for games, but no one was ever fully committed. This year, the Varsity cheerleading coaches Mrs. Christy Mathews and Ms. Marissa Burkemper held tryouts to find someone committed to the job.

Along with Mrs. Becky Czuppon, Mrs. Janet Anthony, and Mr. Brian Brennan, the cheerleading coaches judged the three contestants and decided on a winner last Monday.

Robbie Obradovic (11), Kaylee Healey (11), and Elicia Grab (10) showed up to try out after school on Friday, April 26. Although all did a great job, Healey was chosen as the winner and future OHS mascot.
