Slavery still exists

Slavery still exists

The OHS Leadership class is bringing back what we all thought was an old problem. Slavery is still an issue that has yet to become extinct and it is even happening right here in St. Louis. There are over 27 million sex slaves that are in worldwide. Leadership class is trying to do something to bring awareness and raise money for this cause.

“We decided that we all believe in this issue and wanted to do something to help end it,” Ashley Jones (12) leadership member said.

They are going to be selling Gus’s Pretzels at each lunch for a dollar every Friday in the month of March. All the profits will be going to the “End it Movement.” This organization directly gives the proceeds to putting up a hard fight against slavery.

“We think that by selling Gus’s Pretzels people will be more aware of what’s happening, and everyone likes Gus’s Pretzels,” Jones stated.
