Let the search for summer jobs begin

As school comes to an end and summer begins the job hunt is on the rise.

Finding a job during the school year is tough enough, now that summer is here all the colleges kids are moving back home, and are competing for jobs.

If you want a job that is not a fast food restaurant, it is going to require a little bit of effort. When thinking about what kind of jobs you want to apply for you need to realize how badly you want to make money. Sometimes McDonalds will be your only option for a couple of weeks. Mcdonalds money is better than no money at all.

You need to apply everywhere, and I mean every single place you can get to. The more applications you fill out, the better your chances are in getting a job quickly.

The best way to increase your chances of employment you need to make yourself marketable even if it is just your standard minimum waged job. Bosses and managers look for potential employees who are hard working, motivated and compromisable. Adding things like community service, and extracurricular activities on your resume/application will shoot your chances through the roof.

Sometimes there are periods where finding places that are hiring seem impossible. If you are stuck at this crossroad pull up the internet and search job openings. A site that I personally have used and had a lot of success on is SnagAJob.com.

My last word of advice is to start looking now!! These next couple weeks before college gets out are going to be vital for your job hunt. Good luck!
