Introducing President Rabin and Vice President Tate

After weeks of campaigning, Donald Rabin was named Student Body President and Eric Tate, vice-president for the 2014-2015 school year.

After three compelling speeches in front of the entire school on Friday, April 11, Donald Rabin was voted president by not only his class, but from the entire student body. For the past three years, Rabin has ran for his own class president and never won. He won just at the perfect time to become the president of the entire student body.

“It feels good to win one,” Rabin said.

Eric Tate ran this year as well. He has never run for class president before, but he won the crowd over by claiming that he would become the school’s voice, or “megaphone” to the higher authority. He did not promise anything, just to bring forth problems to the school board for the rest of the students.

As president of the student body next year, Rabin said his number one goal is to fix up the bathrooms. He plans on having competitions between ANPs to see how much money can be raised for the cause. Rabin intends on getting a STUCO position in gateway, which is a conference in the suburban area for all of the student councils. And finally, he plans on listening to his class for all the themes for dances and prom.

Rabin and Tate are ready for the 2014-2015 school year to begin.

“I’m very excited to see how well we will do as a team,” Rabin said. “I’m sure we will do an excellent job and have a lot of fun working together.”
